NYC Fireworks this year were incredible. I couldn't help but film them with my newly hacked GF1 in 1080p.
The orientation is vertical, so I suggest full-screening the video for optimal flava.
Exposure was f2, 1/20th of a second, ISO 400

GH1 / GF1 Firmware Hack
The Panasonic GF1 is a fantastic (and compact) camera for stills and video that uses the almost the same hardware as Panasonic's high-end GH series of cameras.
There is a hack available that enables the GF1 to shoot in full 24 frame per second, 1080p with full manual exposure controls just like its larger brethren.
Install instructions and sample video after the jump.

Look Up
Daytime long exposures with the GF1. Most exposures were f18 @ 60 seconds.
Second time out with my ND110 on the GF1 + 20mm. Still working on getting the hang of this filter and technique.
Processed using DXO Optics Pro.
Four more after the jump.

Shot the NYC Mermaid Parade this past Saturday with 4 friends. Kept the gear simple... a Olympus E-1 with a 12-60 mounted on the front.

Chinese New Year
Had a blast shooting the Chinese New Years' Parade. Tons of work to do today, so post-processing was limited to contrast adjustment and filtered b+w conversion in Picasa.
Bodies used were Olympus E-1 and E-620, lenses were 12-60mm and 50-200mm.

Verity in Stereo
Kiirstin of Verity in Stereo
I saw a great show of my friends' band (http://www.verityinstereo.com/) this Friday. I highly recommend checking out the sound clips on their website or a show if you're in the NY metro area.
John, the bassist, asked me to take some pictures with his Nikon D300s. Lots of unnecessarily missed shots from using a camera that while very capable, was brand new to me. I'll be bringing my Oly gear next time.
More pics after the jump.

The Frost.
Despite all of the road closings, flight cancellations, and blizzards... I've gotta say... I love winter!
