New Toys

 Panasonic GF1, 20mm 1.7, BW ND110 Filter

Jersey City HeliPad looking out onto Manhattan

Got a new toy today. A shiny B+W ND 110 Filter. Still learning how to use it. A fun start none the less.

One more after the jump.

Lazy Saturday

Olympus E-1, 50-200mm lens. Processed in Lightroom

Neighborhood bodegas

Took a quick walk this morning to get groceries and brought a camera along for fun. 3 hours later, I have no groceries, but a huge grin on my face.

There is definitely something special about the feel and output of the E-1. Given how quickly technology moves, its nice to have this much fun with a camera that came out in 2003.

More after the jump.

Had a photographic walkabout with a good friend to cure the woes of an intense week. Most certainly did the trick....

Rome, Italy

Canon SD600. Contrast Adjustment in Picasa.

I had this as a framed 8.5 x 11 metallic print for a number of years. During my first year of law school, my writing professor's secretary made a comment that she really liked this picture. (She had seen it as the header of my personal site @ VadimGordin.com.) I gifted the framed print to her as a surprise when I graduated.

Smiles all around.

Moving into a new apartment in two weeks. Going through old folders for photos to print and frame. Excellent exercise for a Monday.

Just got back from an incredible week in San Francisco and Yosemite. Haven't had this much fun with a camera in a long time. Decided its time to have a photo blog again. Enjoy.
